Funding & Donations

FAQs

How is Mutende Children's Village funded?

Through voluntary contributions from anyone who wishes to give.

How much is invested in the Village?

All donations go directly to support the children and pay for the local staff who work in the "Village".

Do the Trustees keep any money for administration?

There is no deduction for administration in the UK.  Bristol Christian Fellowship (Charity Number 294924) and other churches fully underwrite all administration costs.

For how long will a child stay at the Village?

A child will stay at the Village for as long as it is necessary to provide care.  Some have arrived as babies and there are currently teenagers who have been living at Mutende for some years.  Consideration is currently being given to how to move the older youngsters back into the wider community with the appropriate education and employment skills to enable them to live independently or with a family.

Would you like to make a donation?

Any amount is welcome, whether it is a single gift or a regular one, but an ongoing monthly donation of £20 supports all a child needs to stay and be educated at Mutende month by month.

Financial Support

    * Just £20.00 (GBP) will sponsor a child for a month and provide all that he or she needs.

    * Larger donations make it possible for the project to expand.

    * All gifts from the UK can be gift aided and all money goes directly to the Mutende Children's Village.

    * Cheques should be made payable to BCF Zambia

There are other ways you can provide support; why not consider offering to work at the village - from a month or so to      longer periods - just contact the UK office by telephone on the number below or by email with details of your level of interest.
